Water Quality Association (WQA)

The Water Quality Association (WQA) is the international trade association
representing the household, commercial, and industrial water quality improvement
industry. Its 2,200 corporate member companies manufacture and sell
point-of-use/point-of-entry (POU/POE) equipment, package water treatment plants,
and customized water treatment systems.

Industry products offer consumers the option of deciding for themselves the quality
of the water they will have in their home or business. In some cases, customers
desire improved water for bathing, home maintenance, and other household uses
such as providing a final barrier for those concerned about their drinking water. In
others, they desire highly treated water to meet the needs of science, medicine,
and industry.

The WQA World Assembly was formed in 1993 as a division of WQA, to focus
on worldwide industry issues, education and idea exchange. Its mission
is: "to unite the global water treatment industry to assure the right of
users to modify or enhance the quality of water to meet a specific need
or desire."

It is a resource for international harmonization of standards. It
provides information on existing product standards, plumbing and
electrical codes worldwide. It provides an opportunity for its members
to network with the global industry.

Regardless of the need, WQA member professionals provide consumers with a
water quality treatment solution; and WQA provides these industry professionals with the solutions they need to enhance business.
