Some Applications for
PURA UV Systems

wasserha.gif (198 bytes)   Residential Uses:

Under the sink / Point-of-Use (POU)

The primary use of Pura systems is under the kitchen sink on the cold water line. This

provides purified water whenever the water is drawn at the sink. A faucet kit can be used

which will help extend the life of the filter. Any of the 1 or 2 gallon per minute models can

be used. (UV1, UVB, UVW, and UVCL series).

Pura's POU systems are not approved for use in the State of California.

Whole House

The second most popular use is for the Whole House at point-of-entry (POE). The UV20

series is made just for these applications providing 8 to 10 gallons per minute. This series

can be used anywhere that a higher flow rate is needed.

Vending Machines

Many companies now manufacture vending machines that sell water. Pura's UVB1-EPCB

is used by many vending machines. This model is Nama approved for use in water vending

machines  (UVB1-EPCB or UVB2-EPCB/SD).

Water Coolers

Most water coolers have enough space in them to install a smaller Pura System right

inside the cabinet. The need for bottled water can be eliminated  (UV1, UVB, UVW, &

UVCL).

Ice Machines

Pura systems can be installed on ice makers to make sure the water is purified before it is

frozen. This will ensure that the beverage is not contaminated by dirty ice   (UVB1-EPCB

or UVB2-EPCB/SD).

Restaurants

Restaurants use Pura systems to provide purified water to their customers. They also use

Pura on their ice machines and drink dispensers that mix drinks with water. (See soft

drinks mixed) any model can be used depending on the flow rate needed.

Hotels

Hotels have used Pura systems in the same places as restaurants and also have installed

a system in each room. Pura systems have been used by hotels to fill water bottles for

each room.

Hospitals, Medical facilities, Doctors and Dentists

Hospitals need pure water for their patients. A system can be installed in each location

where water is used. Doctors and dentists can use Pura systems for all the sanitized water

they require for use and for patients.

Offices and Factories

Offices use Pura to provide purified water to their employees and clients. They can be

installed under a sink or in the water coolers. Companies can install a unit on each water

fountain and in employee cafeterias.

Soft Drinks Mixed

The water that is used to make soft drinks requires purification before it is mixed to

assure highest quality. Likewise for fruit drinks. Purification and sanitization makes the

drink safer and taste better. It may also reduce the amount of concentrate or carbonation

required for mixing. Pura UV Systems are approved and used by all the major soft drink

manufacturers.

Boats

Pura Systems should be installed to draw water from a boat's water holding tank. Bacteria

can grow in the water tanks. The Pura System can usually be installed at a sink or on a

main water line  (12 Volt DC models available).

Recreational Vehicals

Pura systems can be used in Recreational Vehicals the same as in boats. The quality of

the water in the trailer parks is always unknown. Adding a Pura System to your RV will

guarantee pure water anytime, anywhere.
