2 GPM Systems

PURA ULTRAVIOLET SYSTEMS provide 99.9% disinfection of bacteria, virus and other microorganisms including Cholera, Legionnaires disease and coliforms. All PURA units use carbon filtration which removes chlorine, organic chemicals, bad tastes and odors. The PURA patented activated carbon filter (EPCB) provides sediment removal to 0.5 microns which also removes Giardia Lamblia, and Crypto sporidium (cysts). This series of Point-of-use (POU) purifiers provides clean, clear refreshing water at 1 or 2 gallons-per-minute (GPM).

SINGLE SERIES (UVB1, UVCL1, UVW1)

This series comes standard with the EPCB filter. The EPCB filter provides 0.5 micron sediment removal along with activated carbon filtration to remove chlorine, organic chemicals, bad tastes and odors.

DOUBLE SERIES (UVB2, UVCL2, UVW2)

The Double versions provide an additional filter which is usually a Sediment (SD) filter. Adding a sediment filter provides 5 micron prefiltration to extend the life of the EPCB filter by removing sediment that will plug it up prematurely. A double system is recommended to remove unseen sediment in the water that will dramatically reduce the life of the EPCB filter. The water first passes through the 5 micron sediment filter, then through the 0.5 micron Extended Pass Carbon Block filter and finally along the Ultraviolet Lamp which disinfects the water. This is the most popular model because it can be used in almost any type of water.

TRIPLE SERIES (UVB3, UVCL3, UVW3)

Like the Double models the Triple models add even another filter. The water in the triple system first goes through a sediment filter, then through a Granular Carbon filter, then through the Extended Pass Carbon Block filter and finally along the Ultraviolet Lamp. The addition of a Granular Carbon filter acts as a prefilter to the EPCB filter. This Double Carbon protection ensures the most complete and long lasting protection.
